Hello to all my incredible couples! I'll start with a thank you! A thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to capture your wonderful day.

As my business focuses on photo and video it feels like my editing pile is a lot larger than most North East photographers. It's a very important process to select the right clips and images and then edit them in my style. This process can be outsourced, but rest assured I put my heart and soul into each wedding I edit to make sure you get the final product and look that you originally booked me for.

You may see below that progress is a little further on some photography weddings only. This is only because I tend to edit images on the evening and is obviously a lot quicker than video editing. Percentages are based on my following workflow:

PHOTOGRAPHY

1. Photograph your wedding and backup all images from your day. This is all completed once I arrive home from your day
2. Begin the process of culling your wedding down from all the images I've taken. I take out all images where I've caught eyes half closed or sometimes I miss focus completely...thankfully this doesn't happen very often! Basically all the shots no one wants to see
3. My wife then goes through the culled images and 'flags' any potential images that may need extra work in Photoshop. Simple things like Exit Signs being removed, dress stains and cat litter trays...Yes! I've once had to photoshop this out :-)
4. Start the editing process by applying my preset or sometimes people call it a 'filter'
5. Then crop images, always trying to draw the eye to the person I want you to see. Most of this is done in-camera on the day but sometimes it needs a little tweak, maybe to straighten lines etc
6. Export all photos to hard drive, then back-up
7. Upload to your online gallery
8. Send email to yourselves with the link
9. You then grab a takeaway, some champagne and enjoy reliving your wedding day!

Videography

1. Video your wedding and backup all footage from your day. This is all completed once I arrive home from your day
2. Begin the process of culling your wedding down from all the footage I've taken. I take out all shots where I'm still on record moving my camera around or simply not captured a moment that isn't worth seeing
3. Edit your ceremony and speeches and sync sound from your microphones
4. Start the long process of creating your films. This involves a lot of time where I simply can't get distracted. I like getting into the rhythm of your wedding
5. Apply my LUT to all your footage. This is what gives that signature cinematic look
6. Export all videos to a hard drive and back-up
7. Upload to your online gallery
8. Send email to yourselves with the link
9. You then grab a takeaway, some champagne and enjoy reliving your wedding day!
